Make Money With Affilate MArketing
If you are looking to get started in affiliate marketing and you have
very little or no experience at all, there are really only three steps
you need to take in order to start your affiliate marketing business.
These 3 steps are finding something that interest you, searching for
products or services, and then promoting those products or services.
Let's break down these 3 steps in a little more detail.
Step #1 - Finding something that interests you - Your job as an affiliate marketer is to align people with a product or service that they are already looking for. When you choose a product that you are passionate about or something that interests you, you are going to have an easier time starting your affiliate marketing business. This could be anything at all...
If you love golf, you can choose a golf training product. If you are a mother, maybe you had a hard time trying to get pregnant so you want to help other couples improve their chances of conceiving a child, there are products for that too. The possibilities are endless but the more passionate you are about the product or service you are promoting, the more successful you are going to be (you'll learn why a bit later).
Step #2 - Finding a product or service - Once you have an idea of what you interested in selling, it's time to find a product or service. There are many places you can go do find great products and services, the most common being ClickBank.com and Amazon.com. The goal here is to find something that's going to match what you are passionate about. If you love golf for example, you would just search for a golf product. Swing training, putting training, mental golf training, etc...
Just be sure to choose a product or service that is related to what niche you are interested in. Depending on your niche, you want also have to decide if you want to market digital products or physical products. With digital products, the commissions are higher, but it's also not a tangible product and some people don't like that. With physical products, the commissions are generally a lot lower. I would start with a digital product just to get some experience and sales under your belt.
Step #3 - Start promoting - This is how you get your product or service in front of targeted buyers. There are many ways to promote and market your affiliate products, both free and paid. Marketing methods such as article marketing, video marketing, social media marketing, and SEO are free methods. I would recommend starting there, and then once you start making some money you can branch out to some PPC and other paid marketing methods.
Before you start any marketing method, it's important to do keyword research. If you are writing articles or doing SEO, you want to find low competition keywords related to your product or service that have a decent monthly search volume. Once you have a list of keywords, then you can start producing articles, backlinks, etc... For example, if you are selling a golf swing training product, you don't want to target keywords like "golf swing". That's too broad of a term and probably has too much competition.
You want more specific keywords like "improve my golf swing" or "how to improve your golf swing speed". Those types of long tail keywords will have less competition and they are more targeted keywords. You can take your keyword phrases and start writing articles for each keyword phrase.
